Hey flower friend!

I am assuming that you love flowers as much as I do if you are reading this, anyway. Also assuming we are friends because I LOVE anyone who takes the time to read these. The story behind my favorite phrase "flower friend" started when I worked in my first flower shop a few years ago. It was the absolute BEST and I am so grateful for the appreciation for flowers it instilled in me. Somewhere along the line, I decided that my friends who were also florists were called my "flower friends."

Then, that term expanded to other flower lovers and gardeners I met. Now, I tend to call every lovely person I meet a flower friend (as well as flowers themselves) and it has just stuck.

This may be the most cringey thing I have ever typed, but I genuinely consider flowers, plants, basically all living things, to be my friends. I know how weird that sounds, I promise. But I can't help feeling it! They are comforting in the same exact way friends are, and make everything better in the best and worst times.

So anyway thanks for being here, flower friend ❁
